One of the themes from Sourced from the ‘Zoo explores self-care and well-being. This event invites you to drop in and sample different activities at your own pace to find lasting habits that can contribute to a healthier, more balanced life. With activities led by several Kirk Newman Art School instructors, you’ll have opportunities to sample a variety of school offerings – all for free!

Be sure to bring your kids by Saturday morning to the Kids Hill for a family performance by Carolyn Koebel and Samuel - this is a great event for the kiddos!

AfriFest Cincy 2024

Get ready for Afrifest Cincy. All are welcome! Join this FREE event on July 20th at Sawyer Point from 10AM to 10PM. This event is a day of art and diversity. Rest with Music

Rest with Music is a free concert series that brings live musicians into Abrams Planetarium to play a 40-minute set, while patrons relax under the light show of the planetarium. Performances are typically the third Monday of each month at noon to encourage MSU faculty and staff to attend during their lunch break. Ten Pound Fiddle Scouts

Join world percussionist/music therapist Carolyn Koebel and Ugandan drummer/dancer/singer/multi-instrumentalist Samuel Nalangira for a fun-filled interactive African musical jamboree! These two together are pure joy and they’ll have you tapping and twirling and singing along to the beautiful sounds of East African adungu and a host of other uncommon instruments. Definitely a program the whole family can enjoy!

The Ten Pound Fiddle Scouts is meant as a playful introduction to folk music. This children’s concert series features a variety of interactive and accessible musical experiences for children ages 3+ and their families. Refreshments provided. Suggested donation is $5 per child or $10 per family.
